WWE Money In The Bank Review July 1, 2023

  • My Honesty Opinion For Money In The Bank Reting.

WWE’s Money In The Bank event truly delivered the spectacle it was meant to be. From a perfect crowd to moments that contained a lot of shock value. Everything WWE did had a reason and was received well. There was amazing storytelling throughout the show, and the show had a great flow overall. Easily the best premium live event of the year so far.

In an historical event, WWE Money In The Bank emanates live from across the pond in London! With both the Women’s and the Men’s Money In The Bank ladder matches having loaded lineups. The Bloodline Civil War. Seth Rollins defends the World Heavyweight Championship in a match seven years in the making. Cody Rhodes looks to prove that he is on a much higher level than Dominik Mysterio. WWE Money In The Bank looks to deliver on the road to Summerslam.

AMAZING LA Knight Vs Logan Paul Vs Santos Escobar Vs Butch Vs Ricochet Vs Shinsuke Nakamaura Vs Damian Priest – Mens Money In The Bank Ladder Match:

  • Money In The Bank Opening Men's MITB Ladder Match.

The big spot that was supposed to be the highlight of the match got a little bit sketchy when LA Knight pushed Logan and Ricochet off of the ladder onto the top rope. Overall everyone had great spots and looked really good. The main story of the match was everyone in the match hating Logan Paul. The crowd was electric for LA Knight and Logan Paul. Damian Priest stole the victory from LA Knight after a really solid mitb match.

  • Shocking Moments with a Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan Tag Team Match Against Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship:
When expectations are low for a match, it’s not hard for something to deliver. We got a great moment in Shayna Baszler getting turned on and overall the action within the match was solid. Nothing to complain about as it was a shocking moment of the match.

Results: Liv Morgan Won by Pinfall via Oblivion on Ronda Rousey

  • GREAT Match Between Matt Riddle Vs Gunther – Intercontinental Championship:

Genius psychology, that’s what we often get from Gunther in his matches. From Riddle selling the ankle, to Gunther targeting it. Seeing Gunther take off the ankle wrap that Riddle had and even chopping it to get the victory. Gunther is being built as such a strong and dominant champion that knows how to dissect his opponents.

Results: Gunther Won by Submission via Heel Hook

  • NICE Cody Rhodes Vs Dominik Mysterio with Side by Rhea Ripley:

In a match that had a phenomenal crowd from Dominik getting booed out of the building and Cody having the crowd singing his theme. This match was decent for what it was, we saw Cody elevate Dom within the match. My personal problem is the fact that this was such a filler program until Cody has a direction for summerslam. I would have wished for them to intertwine them to hide that fact.

Results: Cody Rhodes Won by Pinfall via Cross Rhodes

  • PERFECT Surprise John Cena Promo:
We don’t know the full reasoning for this promo. But the shock of seeing Cena show up and having the crowd in the palm of his hand. Cena was able to tell a story about the London crowds being so valuable to wrestling and that they deserve a Wrestlemania. And my god, Grayson Waller appeared and absolutely delivered in getting the crowd to truly despise him. Waller attempted to attack Cena but Cena gave him an AA. Great promo that I hope leads somewhere.

  • MUST WATCH Trish Stratus Vs Becky Lynch Vs Zoey Stark Vs Zelina Vega Vs Iyo Sky Vs Bayley – Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match:
This was easily the most solid Women’s MITB match of all time. From the great storytelling of Becky Vs Trish and Zoey. The Damage CTRL stuff and Zelina Vega wanting to prove she belongs in the spotlight. We saw great spots and moments from everyone including the very innovative spot that included handcuffs. The crowd was absolutely receptive and giving appreciation to Iyo Sky when I was unsure if she would get a similar crowd behind her like she had at Backlash.

  • AMAZING Seth Rollins Vs Finn Balor – World Heavyweight Championship:
I think this match failed to reach that next level but was in fact a solid match that had a 1 star crowd. Seth and Finn delivered a solid match that advanced the judgment day’s tension. I enjoyed the match but didn’t think it reached that next level both men should be capable of. Great selling from Seth and his ribs and having a number a really good sequences.

Results: Seth Rollins Won by Pinfall via The Stomp

  • PERFECT AMAZING UNBELIEVABLE Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa Vs Jey and Jimmy Uso – Bloodline Civil War:
We talk a lot about how the segments the bloodline delivers are magical and are cinema. This match was cinema. From the crowd doing everything to get under the skin of Roman. From nearly having a Wrestlemania 37 repeat with how the Usos’ were stacked. The kick outs were emotional and the moment of Roman Reigns getting pinned for the first time in three and a half years.

I understand the concerns surrounding the first half, but with a crowd that hot and just adding to the match. It was enjoyable. It was the Roman speed of less is more and It was really good.

Results: Jey Uso Won by Pinfall via Splash On Roman Reigns
